644 James Marshall, b. in Mason Co. ,Ky. , January 17, 1835, = May 15, 1862, Susan Allen, b. in Mason Co., August 28, 1842. Cousin James was only a week old when his mother died. He was raised by his aunt, and my sister, Mrs. P. A. Marshall (188). Before marriage, he came to Platte Co., Mo., and purchased a farm. After a few years, he returned, and now cultivates and farms near Washington, Ky. Cousin Sue has no children, but is the mother of all the boys and girls she can gather about her. She is a kind hearted and whole-souled matron, that everybody loves.
Since James Marshall lived so long after Paxton published the Marshall Family, there is significant info missing.

When James T Marshall was born on January 17, 1835, his father, John, was 40 and his mother, Lucy, was 39. He married Susan D Allen in 1862. They had two children during their marriage. He died on December 28, 1913, in Mason, Kentucky, having lived a long life of 78 years.
