John Marshall, b. in Mason Co., Ky., March 16, 1830. He now lives near Washington, Ky., and is a good, intelligent, social old gentleman, and a confirmed old bachelor. People all like him for his agreeable peculiarities.
I fear we will have no more information as he lived past 1885 when Paxton’s book was published but died long enough ago that he is not remembered by living members of the family
